Urgent warning to Irish shoppers over RADIATION fears for wearable health products

WEARABLE healthcare products sold to Irish people are being recalled over radiation fears.

The Energy Armor Sleep Mask, Basic Nero Wristband, Energy Armor Athlete Necklace, Energy Armor Black Super Wristband, Magnetix Sportboost Wristband, and Quantum Pendant were available online.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is urging anyone who has purchased any of the affected products to “immediately stop using it”.

They said: “A safety issue has been identified with a number of wearable healthcare products in the form of wristbands, sleep masks and necklaces.

“The risk associated with the product is that of radiation, the products have low levels of radiation which can cause harm to the user during prolonged use.

“The CCPC has confirmed that one of the Magnetix products, the Sportboost wristband, was purchased by an Irish consumer, but as these products were available for purchase online they may have been purchased by other consumers. Irish.

“If you have purchased any of these products, please stop using it immediately and store it in a safe place.

“Please contact the EPA on (053) 916 0600 for instructions on how to dispose of the product.”

Earlier this month a batch of coal chutes were recalled from Irish stores due to a risk of burns and cuts.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission says some 214 affected products have been sold in Ireland.

The recalled product is Dairygold Agri Business Limited Country Fireside Traditional 22” Black Coal Chute.

The chute barcode is 5015772199222, while the product code is 1797804.

It was sold in stores and online at Dairygold Agri Business Limited as Co-Op Superstores.

And the CCPC warns that due to a handle fault with the product, there is a risk of minor burns as well as cuts.

They said: “Dairygold Agri Business Limited, trading as Co-Op Superstores, is recalling Country Fireside Traditional 22” Black Coal Chute.

“The barcode is 5015772199222. The product code is 1797804.

“Due to a defect in the handle of this product, the risk associated with the product is that of minor burns and cuts.”

They added: “There are approximately 214 affected products sold to consumers in the Republic of Ireland.
