CSR: ICPA Health Products donates electrosurgical unit to KEM hospital
MUMBAI: ICPA Health Products Ltd (ICPA), India’s leading pharmaceutical company in the oral health segment, as part of its CSR – Corporate Social Responsibility donated an electrosurgery unit to KEM Hospital for its gastrointestinal (GI) department.
The unit was inaugurated last week by Rohit Mehta, Founder and CEO of CAPI Health Products in the presence of hospital authorities. An electrosurgical unit uses high frequency (HF) electrical currents to cut or coagulate tissue during surgery and works by using specific control.
The gastrointestinal department of the KEM hospital is located at 2sd floor of its new administrative building and has rooms dedicated to male and female patients.
In the past, CAPI has donated four 2D echo machines to KEM Hospital for its cardiac and ophthalmologic services. The availability of these machines made it possible to treat several patients in the hospital.
“KEM is one of India’s leading hospitals providing quality clinical services and having highly qualified and committed physicians. It is one of the most trusted institutions in the world, and patients come here for treatment from across the country. Electrosurgical units are indispensable devices for gastrointestinal services in all modern healthcare facilities. We would like to thank Sahyog Trust which offers accommodation to relatives of outpatients at KEMH. We hope that our small contribution will make a difference in people’s lives, ”says Rohit Mehta, Founder and Managing Director, ICPA.
